Like the rarest of all Pokemon, Logic is an invaluable artist that cannot be found anywhere else. His conscious approach, gracious attitude and above-all self-sacrificing orientation in truly trying to affect positive change in other peoples lives is unmatched. He’s been through lifetimes worth of pain and anguish to get where he is today, yet in the back of his head he carries a sense of gratuity in every step. Every ounce of success he has is well-earned.
“You speak it into existence, you say it, and then you do it. It’s the secret to success, truly and utterly. The people who fail in life always give a reason or excuse to why they can’t do it: ‘I would but, I want to but I can’t because…’ and at the end of the day you just have to do it. I came from nothing. I came from section 8 household, welfare, food stamps, drug addicted parents and I’m here today talking to you and I have so much more to go and do.”
Coming off his Grammy nomination for the song “1-800-273-8255” which is a nod to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline, Logic is suddenly realizing the affect his music has on people. The epitome of healing music, he questions pain and answers fear with hope. Logic is one of those artists that is a true representation of what influence can mean.
“I can promise you that it’s not worth it,” he says on the topic of suicide. “It doesn’t matter if you’re 13, or 37… I think your life is extremely important. We all have hard times and dark times… Sometimes I feel like giving up, but I know that at my darkest and lowest points I have actually overcame because I continued to persevere. What you don’t know and don’t realize is how happy you will be, you just can’t see it yet.”
