His eyes glistening from behind his rose-tinted lens, PnB Rock, casually sitting back in his red tracksuit and gold “New Lane” chain dangling from his neck, carries an allure that’s hard to ignore. He’s one of those artists that’s been through enough in his own life to properly commentate on the culture, the type of artist that is harder and harder to come by.
“Three years ago, I was homeless, I ain’t had shit, I was fucked up, nothing to my name. I came home and I just had some songs and shit in my notepad. I just switched up the people I was hanging with, switched up my surroundings and shit. I turned up on my shit. I stopped focusing on other shit… You just gotta focus on you and lock in on what you wanna do.”
That’s exactly what PnB has done. Fresh off the release of his newest album Catch These Vibes he’s making major waves throughout the scene. Undoubtedly there’s no time to rest as his next greatest idea is just around the corner and the work ethic is what keeps him on his toes.
“I think me and Travis Scott would do some crazy shit. That shit would be some crazy melodic… heavy effects, just a different vibe I already know.” Who knows what’s in store next for the Philly artist but whatever it is, it’s bound to be eccentric and innovative.
