Lounging back against the mirror, his medium jet-black dreads hanging just below his eyebrows, and a lavish, unique chain hanging around his neck, SahBabii is somewhat of an enigma. He’s got this intricate personality that’s composed of several different layers and a multitude of ideas that’s shaped them. He’s come a long way since his youth where he was making his living on the streets.
“I was really running the streets, getting money and shit. Doin’ what I had to do to get some money. When all my lil partners and shit got locked up, I had to get a job at Dick’s in the airport, but that shit didn’t last long. I knew there was more to life than [a 9-5 job.]”
Thankfully he did, because he made use of that extra time and has quickly become an artist on the rise. SahBabii’s intricate use of cadence and tone allows him to create melodic tracks that still seriously bang. Beyond the music though is an extremely deep thinker with a knack for pondering the world that surrounds him. SahBabii is always on some sort of wave, and he carries his ideas into the music and art that he creates.
"Unknownism is an ideology I created, it's just challenging and questioning everything. The upside down Cross, Christianity, that was forced on my ancestors. I just want to find out the truth. I'm not demonic at all, I'm a very positive person, Unknownism is just challenging your mind, think outside the box, always question things. KKK they go by Christianity, they used to burn the crosses on black people's lawns. Unknownism isn't just for black people, 666 that's carbon, that's in everybody, carbon helps make melanin."
Thinkers like Sahbabii are going to be the artists that set the next horizons for the new age. His art is undefinable and at the same time, able to each a wide and diverse set of listeners. It’ll be exciting to see what he comes up with next.
